In this great game, I met alot of players from server 39. From beginners with 300 prestige to members of the alliance karnage with 300’000 prestige, there is tons of different players. Actually this game is very random. What do I mean by random? It’s like a chocolate box, as would say forest gump, you never know on which chocolate you will fall.
Sometime a guy has super nice ressources and no army, and you plunder him in no time, and sometime you attack a guy which seem to have no walls with all your cavalry and archers, and you fall on abatis and 5’000 swordmen You never know from where’s coming the attack, all you know is that it is gonna come (laughs). Even the best players of this game will never be sure if they are safe, cause sometime a mass attack, even if the attackers are not as good as him, can be very dangerous. The ressources, when you have the right way, are almost unlimited, even to me, a « beginner » ( 2 cities, level 7 town hall and level 6 walls) the ressources are very easy to get, when you have enough quarries, farms, ironmines, etc. One bad point on evony?
The girl of the advert It brings too much people, and many of them just leave a city on the map with zero prestige, because they were brought by the girl of the advert Also, the « free » packages. They are not free at all, it says at the begining of the mail that you must pay 30$ for them! How could it be free if you had to pay for it??
Except those little things, there is no bad points at this game. What is great is seeing how bad decisions can bring good ones And the opposite Like me, I abandonned a great city with level 7 town hall and level 5 walls to conquer another city, which i failed at conquering Why did I do that, some people may ask? I did it because it was too hard to get rose medals, so I abandonned a city What I also like is the daily gift. O lovely daily gift, you make me happy even in the bad times, in the greatest torments Actually, even when I’m in trouble, I have that amulet that gives me a chance of getting back some money and ressources, even sometimes heroes and productsAnd when I’m really down and I don’t know what to do, I just leave the game for a few days, and when I come back I have tons of resources and I start building! In this game, even if you don’t get what you want, in the end you get what you did not expect, which is, most of the times, better than what you wanted! It happened to me after I abandoned my second city to conquer a city close to me. It actually worked and now I’m trying to get a new one, and I know that even if I fail at it, I will surely get something that I didn’t even imagine, and that will be very great, as some rose medals so I can get 3 cities, or some day, after a wheel of fortune spin, 1000 cents or something like a level 35-50 hero, or an army gift, like 500 archers Because you never know what you are going to get, this game is wonderful!
I used to play runescape and world of warcraft, but the good point with evony is that it doesn’t eats all your time, because it takes a lot of time and you can’t be on your screen, so you can do other things! That’s why I rate this game 7 and a half /10. Just because I think this game needs a little bit of updating, and it started in may 2009, so actually, you can see that a lot of games, in their beginning, weren’t as good as this one, who started less than one year ago. Compared to runescape, which after 9 years wasn’t really good for security and graphics and gameplay, this game is awesome, because it just started and there is already millions of players!( ok I have to admit the girl of the advert helped a bit:P)Who would believe me if I told him that you could get so many players in such a short time? Games that get popular so fast are really rare, and with a bit of upgrades, it would be the best free online game, not only for gameplay, but for popularity! On that, I say “au revoir” and good luck to get more players!Lord name: godofeverythingEmail: [email protected](mailto:[email protected])Url: 39.
The gameplay of Evony.Evony is set in a during the medieval time period in which the player assumes the role of a lord or lady of a city or alliance. The resources in the game are gold, food, lumber, stone, and iron, and the city's idle population. Controversy Advertising campaign. An Evony advertisement on a music streaming serviceEvony 's 2009 online advertising campaign was criticized for featuring what The Guardian called 'a string of increasingly racy images.' The images depicted women who, as the ad campaign continued, became increasingly. All of this had no connection to the game. In 2009 Gavin Mannion commented that Evony 's 'latest ad is seriously pushing boundaries of what is acceptable to publish on Google'. Other ads used stock photographs from pornographic DVD covers.Evony has also been accused of promoting the game via 'millions of comments left on blogs'. The company denies they are responsible for the spam.
Others attribute the spam to players making use of the -based iEvony affiliate program.Regardless of the widespread criticism of these advertising policies, the campaign was hugely successful. By late 2011, Evony counted 27 million registered users. 2009 legal action against blogger On August 25, 2009, Evony's lawyers threatened to sue a critical blogger for defamation over a variety of allegations as to the game's provenance and the practices of the companies behind it. The developers of Evony denied the allegations from internet blogger Bruce Everiss and sent a cease and desist letter for defamation based on Australian law. Everiss responded by linking to a documentary which reportedly showed evidence of Evony 's fraudulent history.
Shortly before the case was due to begin in Sydney, Evony parted with their legal team and asked for an adjournment of the case. After the adjournment, the case was resumed with a new hearing in March 2010. However, two days into the case, Evony withdrew the libel claim against Everiss.
